Biography
Denise Lee brings over 25 years of hands-on leadership in regulated consumer product industries, spanning compliance, manufacturing, quality, and advocacy, to her strategic role at the Baking Association of Canada. As Senior Director of Government Relations & Regulatory Affairs, she serves as the bridge between complex policy tables and the working realities of Canadian bakers, turning regulatory challenges into practical solutions.
In 2025, Denise led BAC’s advocacy on a record-high number of member issues — from trade barriers to labeling standards to food additives — supporting an industry that delivered 7.7 billion dollars in export growth and driving a 21.5 billion dollar sector that employs 51,000 Canadians.
Through freshly-forged North American partnerships, participation in international forums, and collaborative events across Canada, Denise’s focus is to elevate BAC’s global voice while enabling members to stay focused on what matters: business continuity and sustainable growth.
Denise is committed to human health, fair policy, food security, and sector advancement. By fostering connections across members, partner associations, policymakers, and industry leaders, she promotes open dialogue, provides real-time industry input on impactful issues, and keeps members informed, aligned, and positioned to thrive in domestic and international markets.
