Biography
Irene Mínguez is a Chemical Engineer specialized in Biotechnology by the University Complutense de Madrid, Spain. Her professional journey commenced at the Baking and Cereal Technology Department, part of the Technology Transfer Centre in Bremerhaven, Germany, a prominent entity renowned for its provision of cutting-edge research services for the food industry.
After the experience in Germany, she joined the R&D department of one of the biggest bakeries in Spain. Over the past two decades she has contributed to the future of the bakery industry always from her work at the R&D departments of several global bakery companies, collaborating with the most renowned universities, research centres and top ingredient and equipment vendors of the bakery sector and developing technologies and products for both ambient and frozen distribution for the retail, food service and traditional channels.
Irene is a nutrition and sustainability enthusiast, and she is contributing with her wide technological knowledge and experience to Grupo Bimbo’s vision of improving GB’s products and processes to nourish a better world.
